Alyssa Penaluna

Adolescent Catalyst Program Educator

Alyssa Penaluna (she/her) is an Adolescent Education Support Specialist at Sanare. Alyssa graduated with her Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of North Texas and completed a graduate certification program at Midwestern State University to become an Educational Diagnostician. She is a certified Mathematics and Special Education teacher in the state of Pennsylvania with 15 years of teaching experience, including 11 years as a full-time educator in K–12 schools.

Alyssa specializes in working together with students, families, and other community members to meet the needs of each individual student. Her student-centered approach to learning increases student accountability and engagement while providing support and recognition to each adolescent. Alyssa focuses on creating a low-stress, inclusive learning environment to support each student with school work and executive function skills while at Sanare.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys traveling, watching science fiction TV shows and movies, and spending time with family and friends.
