Does your teen feel alone in their struggles with mental health? Do they ever say things like, “No one gets it,” or “You just don’t understand”?
Many teens feel isolated when they’re going through tough times, like they’re the only ones who feel this way. In group, we create a safe, supportive space where your teen can connect with others who do understand, because they’re going through similar challenges too.
I’m Marissa (she/her), a Master’s Level Clinician trained in counseling. My approach is centered around helping teens better understand themselves through open conversation, self-exploration, and peer support. I guide group discussions with a focus on empathy, authenticity, personal growth, and emotional awareness.
In group, your teen will learn how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and how to gain more control over how they respond to what’s happening in their lives.
While therapy can sometimes feel intimidating or serious, it’s also a place for connection, laughter, and even fun. Whether it’s talking about their favorite show, a new book, or last night’s game, there’s always room for real, everyday moments alongside the deeper work.
We know life can feel overwhelming, for both teens and parents. But you don’t have to go through this alone. When your teen is ready, we’re here to support them every step of the way. I look forward to meeting you!
