William Marshall, Dual Diagnosis Counselor

William Marshall (Will) is a Licensed Master Level Clinician with a strong foundation in clinical care and a diverse background supporting adults in acute and complex settings. He has worked in dually diagnosed facilities, substance use detox clinics, and partial hospitalization programs, providing care to clients navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. His experience includes crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, and both group and individual therapy within high-acuity environments. Will brings both structure and compassion to his work, meeting clients in moments of vulnerability with empathy and clinical insight.

He specializes in working with adults facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. His approach is strengths-based and relational, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed practices to help clients reconnect with their goals and sense of agency. In PHP and IOP settings, Will understands the importance of pacing treatment to balance emotional processing with skill-building. He also prioritizes interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure consistency and safety across levels of care.

Outside of work, Will enjoys creative outlets such as writing and photography, along with grounding activities like walking in nature and cooking new meals. Time with family and friends helps him recharge, and he believes in practicing the same balance and mindfulness he encourages in his clients. Will considers it a privilege to walk alongside people in their healing—especially during such pivotal and transformative stages of their recovery.
