Callie Freda
When teens feel overwhelmed, shut down, or lash out, it can leave everyone around them unsure how to help. In group, we work on understanding what is underneath those reactions and building steadier ways to handle them. Teens learn to name what they feel, notice where it comes from, and respond with more calm and confidence.
I’m Callie, and I hold a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. My approach is relational and practical. I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and experiential learning to help teens see their emotions clearly and build real skills they can use.
Group is honest, active, and human. We talk about emotions, friendships, family, and the pressure to hold it all together. Along the way, teens often discover that what once felt unmanageable can start to make sense.
