Allison Whitmore

DBT-Focused Turning Point Program Therapist

Allison Whitmore is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Master’s Level therapist who graduated from Temple University. She is also a registered yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner. Allison obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology, Spanish, and Political Science from Bloomsburg University and currently leads the DBT-based Turning Point program.

Allison has experience working with a wide range of individuals in various mental health settings, including substance recovery and life transitions. She specializes in treating clients with borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, grief, and suicidal ideation.

She works from a relational foundation, integrating mindfulness and dialectical behavioral therapy to help clients develop balanced, individualized ways of living. Allison takes a holistic approach, emphasizing mind, body, and spirit integration, and believes strongly in the power of self-reflection.

Outside of therapy, Allison practices what she teaches: she enjoys nature, kickboxing, paint-by-numbers, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with her beloved dog Athena.
