Kitty McQuaid, MA

Kitty McQuaid is a Master’s Level Therapist and Certified Elementary School Counselor. She earned her MA from Rosemont College, where she concentrated in both clinical mental health and school counseling. Kitty has extensive experience working with children who have experienced grief and loss and enjoys working with young clients to build self-esteem while learning to manage their symptoms of anxiety, depression and other mental health disorders.

Kitty believes in a strengths-based approach to therapy, tapping into an individual’s skills and inherent traits while building positive patterns of thought and behavior. She combines cognitive behavioral techniques with a variety of creative art-, play-, and discussion-based activities to help young clients explore and manage their emotions, set goals and boundaries for themselves, and develop healthy relationships with their friends, families and, most importantly, themself.
