Carly Patterson, Mental Health Counselor
Carly Patterson is a Master’s level clinician who graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to her graduate studies, she earned her B.A. in Psychology with a minor in human services from Elizabethtown College. Prior to becoming a counselor, Carly worked as behavioral technician for children and adolescents with autism and ADHD. Currently, Carly leads the afternoon young adult intensive outpatient group in King of Prussia.
Carly has experience providing services in the outpatient and IOP setting with both groups and individuals with a variety of mood disorders, substance use, life transitions, and stress management. Carly's clinical focus is with young adults and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and navigating life transitions. Carly utilizes a holistic, person-centered approach drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to help clients foster skills to create meaningful change and cope with life stressors. Carly believes in focusing on the client's strengths and fostering strong therapeutic alliances to support and empower clients toward their goals.
In her free time, Carly enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, travelling, and going fishing.
