Hi, I'm Kim. As a therapist with 33 years of experience, I've personally witnessed the power of what group therapy has to offer. I understand that if you've never tried group therapy, it can be overwhelming and rather scary. But having a safe space to cry, learn, laugh, and simply be heard can be exactly what we need.
In group therapy, we're learning relaxation and grounding techniques, vagus nerve stimulation, communication skills, and how we can employ the same compassion we reserve for others but can never quite give to ourselves.
Whether it's ACT, CBT, or DBT, there's plenty to learn and practice in each session.
I realize it takes courage to reach out and acknowledge when we're not okay. I just want you to know that we're here for you when you're ready to take that first step.
