Emily Morgan, Adult PHP Therapist
Emily (she/her) is a Master’s level clinician and Nationally Certified Counselor with experience helping clients from diverse backgrounds. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and went on to complete her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Immaculata University. Emily's professional background spans the public school system, outpatient settings, and Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs (PHP/IOP). While her experience includes a specific focus on the treatment of eating disorders, she is also well-versed in working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, and OCD. Emily’s approach is grounded in a trauma-informed framework, using an integrative therapeutic style that blends client-centered therapy with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to provide personalized care.
Emily is deeply committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. She believes in tailoring therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual, understanding that every person’s journey is different. Emily takes a holistic approach, focusing on the person rather than just the diagnosis. She prioritizes building strong rapport and fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship, and enjoys incorporating creative methods such as art to help clients express themselves in authentic and empowering ways.
Outside of her professional life, Emily enjoys spending time in nature, reading, and exploring new hobbies and crafts. She loves trying new restaurants with friends and values the opportunity to connect with others, unwind, and explore new experiences.
