Ellie Taylor, MSW, LSW
Ellie Taylor (they/them) is a licensed social worker leading the intensive outpatient program for LGBTQIA+ Adults in Center City, Philadelphia. Ellie received their BA in Philosophy from Earlham College and their MSW from Smith College School for Social Work.
Ellie’s work as an individual and group therapist with queer and trans communities is informed by their social location as a white, queer, nonbinary trans person. Ellie works from a relational and psychodynamic perspective grounded in harm reduction and trauma theory, centering the resilience and expertise of their clients. Ellie is attentive to the roles that individuals, institutions and systems play in our lives and healing, and uses motivational interviewing, creative art interventions, and psychodrama in collaboration with clients to explore relationships to parts of self, others, identities, substances, and institutions.
Ellie is passionate about the power of group work to support individual and community healing, and is grateful to witness and learn from the creativity, power and resilience of LGBTQIA+ people in their work. In their free time, Ellie likes to draw, argue with their cat Orlando, connect with friends and neighbors in Philly, and play Dungeons and Dragons with loved ones.
