Madison Harris
While we all know life is inherently stressful, some of us don’t realize that, with an increased understanding of ourselves, coping mechanisms, communication skills, and relationship skills, we can lead a productive and fulfilling life despite the stress. In our group, you will learn techniques to develop these skills and live your life in the most meaningful way possible.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. However, while my background is in social work, I make a conscious effort to vary my treatment approach depending on your preferences and goals, as this is YOUR treatment. I often use techniques and elements derived from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing. Each of these therapies is designed to help you examine how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are shaped by your environment and preconceived notions. Most importantly, we will use this information, along with other tools, to help you navigate the roller coaster of life in a more calm and balanced way.
My hope is to provide support in a nonjudgmental environment, so you can turn your goals into reality. If you're feeling stuck or as if your life is unmanageable, let’s work together to change that.
