Beth Shank
I’m Beth Shank, a master’s-level social worker who earned my degree from North Carolina State University and my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University.
I have experience working with teenagers and adults in inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization settings. Before joining Sanare, I provided telephonic therapy to clients around the world, helping people navigate challenges such as chronic suicidal thoughts, grief, safety planning, relationship concerns, and workplace stress.
I am a Dialectical Behavior Therapy Certified therapist and strive to lead groups where clients not only learn skills but also understand how to apply them in everyday life. My approach is person-centered and empowerment-focused because I believe every individual has the capacity to build a life worth living.
My favorite part of this work is creating a space where clients feel truly heard and leave group feeling more confident in what they have learned and who they are becoming.
Outside of work, I enjoy solving puzzles, playing video games, and taking long walks with my dog while listening to audiobooks.
