
Samantha Bergenty, Mental Health Counselor
Samantha Bergenty is a master’s level clinician who graduated with a degree in Creative Arts in Therapy with a specialization in Art Therapy from Drexel University in Pennsylvania. Before graduate school, Samantha completed a double major in psychology and sociology at Towson University with a minor in art. Samantha currently facilitates the Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program for adults at the North Wilmington location.
Samantha has over 15 years of direct experience with adults ages 18 and up in inpatient, residential, and intensive outpatient program settings. She also has experience facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions. Samantha is a practicing Licensed Professional Art Therapist in the states of Delaware and New Jersey. Samantha is an advocate for utilizing the creative process to promote healing, process emotions, and foster personal growth. Samantha believes that everyone’s experience is unique and thrives on her ability to support clients while using both verbal and non-verbal forms of communication. Samantha utilizes a mixture of modalities and therapeutic philosophies, including but not limited to dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based therapy, and person-centered therapy.
When she isn’t working, Samantha enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, gardening, going to Flyers games, and engaging in various forms of creative expression!
