
Lizzie Birmingham, Licensed Social Worker
Lizzie is a master's Level clinician who graduated from Temple University with a degree in Social Work. Prior to graduate school, Lizzie received a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in cognitive neuroscience from Temple University. Lizzie is EMDR trained and has worked in inpatient and outpatient programs for both mental health and substance use.
Lizzie has experience working with both adolescents and adults who have experienced trauma, as well as individuals who are in recovery from substance use. Lizzie is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and has experience using dialectical behavioral therapy techniques as well as motivational interviewing.
Lizzie’s primary areas of focus are anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and self-esteem. Lizzie takes a holistic approach to healing, acknowledging the profound physical and emotional impacts of trauma, and is dedicated to guiding clients toward recovery in every aspect of their well-being.
In her free time, Lizzie enjoys reading, watching a good reality TV show, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
