Stacy Hinton

Licensing Supervisor

I’m Stacy, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor leading the intensive outpatient trauma program for adolescents in Kennett Square. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Chester University.

Before joining Sanare, I worked in community mental health and volunteered with Victim Services Center as a certified sexual assault counselor. I also spent more than twelve years supporting children and adolescents as a special education teacher and wraparound therapist, and I once taught English for a year in Madrid, Spain.

My passion is helping people heal from trauma, particularly sexual abuse, through empowerment and a strengths-based approach. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, autism, and grief, and I’m deeply committed to supporting LGBTQIA clients, female-identifying individuals, and adolescents.

My approach blends cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered practices to create a space that is both grounded and empowering.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, dog, family, and friends, as well as working out, running, traveling, and going to the beach.
