Stacy Hinton

Trauma-Focused Turning Point Program Therapist

Stacy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor currently leading the intensive outpatient trauma program for adolescents in Kennett Square. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from West Chester University.

Before joining Sanare, Stacy worked in community mental health and volunteered with Victim Services Center as a certified sexual assault counselor. She has over 12 years of experience with children and adolescents as a special education teacher and wraparound therapist, and even spent a year teaching English in Madrid, Spain!

Stacy's passion lies in helping others heal from trauma, particularly sexual abuse, through empowerment and a strengths-based approach. She specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, autism, and grief, and enjoys working with the LGBTQIA community, female-identifying persons, and adolescents.

She uses cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and trauma-informed practices, blending person-centered approaches and mindfulness. Stacy believes in creating a nonjudgmental, empowering space for healing.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her wife, dog, family, and friends, as well as working out, running, traveling, and going to the beach.
