Lauren Baker, LSW

Lauren Baker is a licensed social worker in Pennsylvania and received her master’s degree in social work from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Lauren has specialized training in integrated care and working on interdisciplinary care teams. Other areas of study include Applied Mindfulness, Animal Assisted intervention & Human-Animal Bonds, ceramics, and yoga. Lauren is currently studying to become a Certified Full Spectrum Doula providing intersectional, anti-racist and holistic labor, birth, and post-partum support.


Through Lauren's social work practice, she's had the pleasure of working with many different populations. Her passion is working with youth 14 years and older, pregnant persons, and the LGBTQIA+ population. Furthermore, Lauren's passion is assisting people through life transitions, identity development, and building community and connections to foster a fulfilling, balanced life. Her therapeutic approach is integrated, trauma-informed and from a systems framework. Lauren frequently incorporates mindfulness, the arts, and movement into her work. She believes her clients are the driver with their destination in mind. Lauren holds the map, helping guide them through many different routes that will get them to their desired location.


In Lauren's free time, she enjoys learning, reading, creating, and nurturing. Lauren enjoys gardening and going on hikes with her partner and their corgi. She often has three to four books in her reading rotation. Lauren also enjoys knitting, crocheting, and sewing clothes. Movement is a must, Lauren often fits a yoga or spontaneous dance session in at least once a week.
