Alexis Grier is a Licensed Professional Counselor who obtained her undergraduate degree at West Chester University before taking two years off to work and gain experience before completing her master’s degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. During those two years off, Alexis worked at an outpatient facility, working with children in multiple settings. Since graduating graduate school, she has also done outpatient individual therapy with all ages, and even started her own outpatient therapy clinic that she had her LLC for prior to coming to Sanare Counseling Services. 

Alexis has experience and enjoys working with all age ranges, as all ages bring different experiences, perspectives, skills, and knowledge to the table, and Alexis enjoys meeting clients where they are, and helping them get to where they want to be, no matter their age. Her style is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a focus on patient-centered work. She enjoys using different skills within those approaches, as there is not one skill that works for everyone, or meets everyone’s needs. Alexis’ favorite part of therapy is forming a therapeutic bond with her clients, and believes this is the most important part of therapy. 

In her spare time, you can find Alexis spending time with her friends and family. She values the people in her life more than anything, so as long as she is with those she loves, no matter what they are doing, she is happy. Whether they are playing card games, singing karaoke, or just sitting around and talking, Alexis is in her happy place when she is surrounded by those she cares about.
