Alexis Grier recently graduated with her master’s degree. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from West Chester University and holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Alexis has experience working with all ages and in multiple settings including outpatient and intensive outpatient, as well as a school setting with children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder. Alexis’ specialties focus on those struggling with depression, anxiety, adjustment, and autism. She mainly utilizes aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy while also including many person-centered approaches and some motivational interviewing techniques.
Alexis emphasizes the importance of humor and sarcasm as a way to incorporate laughter while maintaining a focus on goals. She focuses on a holistic approach and uses education to bring awareness to the ways in which water, food, sleep, and other areas of our lives influence mood and functioning.
